Hello fellow writers, Today I wanted to hear everybody's opinion on their favorite Hunger Games novel and/or movie. I've been quite hyped about the topic lately because, as quite a few of my followers know, I have been reading the first book of the series for a novel review on this blog! I'm sorry that [...]
“People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality;
their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is,
but that’s bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are
taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love
if they’re afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide
their pain. But they’re wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio.
You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It’s all in how you
carry it. That’s what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are
a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them,
and hide them, you’re letting society destroy your reality.
You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.”
– Jim Morrison
I am many people's rock like the base of a building, more and more bricks piled on I, foundation of others So much weight, I can't take others problems placed before mine always you, you, you but never I more weight as I make promises I won't keep I can not keep For soon an [...]
I recently finished the first season of the CW channel's T.V. show "The 100" and for all those who enjoy the post-apocalyptic, survival genre...man will this show be a treat! This dystopian, sci-fi drama succeeds a fictional nuclear war that eliminates all terrestrial life, leaving only the citizens up in orbiting international space stations as [...]
Hello fellow writers! I wrote this poem quite a while back and I felt like sharing it today. Instead of wasting life wishing for more materialistic things, we must remember to treasure the people and the things that we already have. If we take them for granted, they just might slip away and it will [...]
Riptide by Vance Joy was released in late 2013 and its sweet ukulele chords and lyrics still reach through to me every time I hear it. The reason for this is because two summers ago, in the final months before I moved from my hometown, my close friend made a slideshow of pictures and used this song in the background. This song reminds me of her and I feel that this is why this song always takes me to such a deep place. I’ve always enjoyed the song solely for this reason; never taking the time to actually try and understand the song’s lyrics. Now I have finally analyzed them and am feeling inspired to share what I feel the lines mean.
Before I begin, the lyrics of the song can be found here: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/vancejoy/riptide.html
A lyric video is also here if you’d like to hear it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUI5uLysKaE

Hello fellow bloggers. In light of the "Names" photo challenge from The The Daily Post, I snapped this picture of the names of the "Hunger Games Series" novels by Suzanne Collins. These are the names of the novels from one my favorite series by one of my favorite authors! More importantly, these are the names [...]
Rating: 4/5 ***** What if I told you that with just 10 stories, 330 pages and an hilariously sassy drive for payback an author managed to capture the connection shared deep down in all humans. Jo Knowles achieves this remarkable feat through her witty yet deep novel "Read Between the Lines".
Yes! This is so incredibly important! I read this today and soon planned up to call an old friend. It felt so good just to hear the voice of my loved one. After reading this I’ve decided to make this one of my resolutions. I’ve got to make the effort to stay in touch with the people who I love and if they are not willing to put in any time…they’re not worth mine.
Always find time for those that are dear to your heart. A few minutes or an hour of phone call a day means a lot. No matter how close or far away are you from them, always let them feel they are special to you. Nobody knows it might be your last chance to say your “Hello” and “Goodbye”.
Spare some time
If you love them
There is always a free time
When someone gives you their time, always appreciate it. Never forget to say “Thank you for your time”. We often neglect the ones who always make their time available for us. When they’re gone, only then we realize how much we have taken them for granted. Don’t loose your chance to be with them and spend time with them. If you really love them, give them your time.
If you value that special someone…
